STM1 Combiners and fibre optic and switching modules from IRT Electronics

IRT Electronics was chosen to in supplying STM1 combiners and associated transmission equipment to Foxtel Australia for the delivery of 30 additional channels. The IRT products that were used in this particular project included the MMM-4681 and the MMX-4681. These particular items allow the combining of up to four ASI streams on to an STM1 at 155Mbs.

Features of the combiners and transmission equipment used in the Foxtel Project:

  • By combining multiple ASI transport streams the application of this product reduces the waste of bandwidth on an STM1 circuit
  • Also provides SNMP features for control and monitoring of a national network
  •  IRT Electronics' combiners and transmission equipment provide flexibility
  • Cost effective solution for the concentration of multiple ASI transport streams across the network
