Cable cleats have been designed to fix, retain and support cables. Correct cleating would result in the containment of the cables during a fault and enable the circuit to be restored once the fault has been repaired.
Stainless steel cable cleats have the following patented construction:
- A Type 316 stainless steel frame that offers ultimate protection against harsh corrosive conditions
- An integral liner and base pad in a flame retardant, zero halogen polymeric material
- The liner also provides protection for the cable and cushions the cables during short-circuit conditions
- Compact design occupies a minimum amount of space on cable ladder or any cable management system
These cleats are suitable for low, medium and high voltage single and multi-core cables.
Stainless steel cable cleats have undergone extensive, rigorous short-circuit testing and has been approved and certified to withstand Short-Time and Peak Withstand Test Currents of up to 70kA RMS (154kA peak) at 0.3 second and 81kA RMS (166kA peak) at 0.1 second.
These cleats are suitable for use in power generation, transmission and distribution, offshore oil and gas, shipping or marine, water and sewerage treatment, petrochemical plants, airports, ports and tunnels.
