IPD Industrial Products have introduced the GT25 series of miniature circuit breaker by GE.
The GT25 series features a fault level up to 50kA. The benefit is the width remains at 18mm modules per pole.
There are also optional features such as auxiliaries, shunt trips, undervoltage release, motor operators and many features which can be added.
A benefit of the GT25 series is being able to achieve up to 65kA backup level on a small frame of Moulded Case Circuit Breaker (fault level 150kA) upstream.
This benefit can save possibly thousands of dollars in space and cost of adding moulded case circuit breakers just to achieve a specified fault level.
