The IDM Universal Testing Machine, available from IDM Instruments , is a specialised testing machine that is designed to twin testing capabilities - compression testing in the inner frame and tensile testing on the outer frame of the machine.
This design reduces operator fatigue and production downtime by eliminated the need to change between compression platens and grips for different testing requirements. Different sized compression platens and tensile grips can be fitted to the instrument, to allow a vast array of tests to be undertaken.
The Universal Testing Machine is operated through a PC, using the Universal Testing Software designed by IDM Instruments. All test parameters are entered into the software programme, and once the programme is initiated, the test will run as per the software script.
IDM Instruments are now offering customers comprehensive independent in-house testing services for their products. This will successively save time, money and personnel, by having an external company carry out the testing that is needed for their product to maintain quality.
