IDM Instruments has launched Concora medium fluter. The Concora medium fluter is designed to be used to form test flutes in medium in preparation for crush tests, and is a widely used test method in the paper industry.
The Concora medium fluter operates using heated rollers, operating at a constant temperature of 175°C. There is also an over-temperature alarm in the Concora medium fluter for safety reasons, as well as industrial type self-tuning temperature controllers having an accuracy of ± 2°C.
One roller on the Concora medium fluter is motor driven at 4 r/min, while the other roller moves freely, rotating with a minimum of friction or other resistance. Other features of the Concora medium fluter include a nip load of 98 ± 4N.
The IDM Concora medium fluter is manufactured with relevance to paper standards recognised around the world, including AS/NZS standards, ISO and TAPPI.
