Available from IDM Instruments is the all new Fiber Potential Analyzer. This new Zeta Potential measuring systems has won recognition in connection with defining the efficiency of chemical aids, especially in paper production.
According to the Helmholz-Smoluchowski formula, Zeta Potential is calculated by the conductivity measured, the pressure differential, the streaming potential, and a constant.
Developed by AFG and in conjunction with Emtec, is the all new automatic measuring and low-noise Zeta Potential Analyzer, called the Fiber Potential Analyzer (FPA). FPA was designed using microcontroller technology, making menu controlled automatic measuring processes possible.
By omitting a manual adjustment function of the vacuum pump, this leads to a high accuracy and reproducibility of the measuring results. The omission of a large-size noisy vacuum pump eliminates the noise pollution for the lab employees.
The automatic menu controlled cleaning process with an automatic extraction of the fiber plug, facilitates and speeds up the measuring operation decisively. The measuring results can be shown on the display, printed out by an integrated printer or can be stored on a PC-readable memory card.
With the user-friendly PC-software, the measuring result can be displayed, evaluated and stored.
