Recently manufactured by IDM Instruments , the Concora Medium Fluter testing instruments are designed to be used to form medium test flutes in preparation for crush tests, and is widely used as a test method within the paper industry.
The Concora Fluter testing instruments operate using heated rollers, functioning at a constant temperature of 175°C. As a safety precaution there is an over-temperature alarm as well as industrial type self-tuning temperature controllers that have an accuracy of ± 2°C.
One roller on the Concora Fluter is motor driven at 4 r/min, while the other roller moves freely, rotating with a minimum of friction or other resistance. Other features include a nip load of 98 ± 4N.
The IDM Concora Fluter is manufactured with relevance to various paper standards recognised around the world, including AS/NZS standards, ISO and TAPPI standards.
