The FL1E smartRelay, available from IDEC , has a 32-bit processor that provides a fast scan time, 3,800 bytes of memory, and 200 function blocks for programming which includes unlimited timers and counters, shift registers, pulse width modulation, and analogue math functions. In addition, a memory cartridge and a battery backup module for the real time clock is now available.
There are seven CPU modules in supply voltages from 12VDC, 24VAC/DC to 100-240VAC/DC. Each CPU has 8 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs, a real time clock and a calendar. The base unit can be expanded to a maximum of 24 inputs, 16 outputs as well as 8 analogue inputs and 2 analogue outputs.
The FL1E smartRelay also supports an optional remote text display with a separate 24VAC/DC, 12VDC supply for monitoring, viewing and troubleshooting and offers a backlit LCD (128x64 pixels). It can hold up to 50 message blocks and is capable of displaying 4 x 12 characters.
Programming and editing is achieved by using the on-board selection buttons and display or the WINDLGC version 6 software, and offers the choice of Function Block or Ladder Diagram language. Cables are available in either RS232 or USB connection.
WindLGC operates on Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, ME, XP and VISTA.
