ICP Electronics Australia will be exhibiting the KM-086 waterproof keyboard at National Manufacturing Week 2005. It is IP68-rated against liquids and dust and remains operational up to 1.5m under sea level. It has been designed for medical, military, nautical and food processing applications.
It has an internal LED that provides four levels of backlight and is available in yellow or red, blue and orange. This allows the keyboard to be used in a range of ambient lights, even a moonless night. The KM-086 is made of plastic and industrial silicone rubber and can sustain a sudden strike of up to 45kg.
The KM-086 offers both a keyboard and mouse button in one package. It has been designed for applications requiring a compact, portable and resilient data input system.
