ICP Electronics Australia has announced the latest addition to its Network Attached Storage series, the NAS-168F industrial grade data center solution. The NAS-168F is highly durable and features some resistance to shock and vibration, making it suitable for harsh applications such as manufacturing, fieldwork and transportation.
The four flash disks have a maximum capacity of 5.88GB, are pre-configured to RAID 0 and can be reconfigured to provide RAID 1 data protection, RAID 5 maximum data protection or JBOD.
The implementation of flash disk modules into the NAS-168F allows the server to operate within rugged environments. It does not require additional configuration for the other servers and clients on the network.
The embedded operating system supports automatic IP address assignment utilising DHCP to help minimise setup time and management costs.
The NAS-168F supports cross-platform file sharing and network backup solutions for Windows, Unix/Linux and Macintosh environments. This web-based management design also provides remote clients with a way to easily access the network anywhere in the world.
The system supports all major network operating systems, including Windows, MAC and Linux/Unix. Installation can be easily completed within a few minutes and set-up can be carried out via an LCD display or web interface. ICP Electronics 02 9457 6444.
