ICP Electronics Australia has announced the release of the ROCKY-3786EVGU2, a full size PICMG Pentium III single board computer.
This board is equipped with VGA, LAN, audio and has optional Gigabit Ethernet capabilities.
The ROCKY-3786EVGU2, fitted with a Tualatin Pentium III CPU, supports 512kB L2 Cache, and is suited to high-performance server applications.
In addition to onboard 10/100Mbps LAN, this board offers optional Intel 82540EM Gigabit LAN controller, replacing the older style NS Gigabit LAN chip embedded on earlier SBCs.
This enhancement has been designed to increase the Ethernet performance of the board making it suitable for a range of demanding applications, including assisting administrators in carrying out fault tolerance, load balancing and managing networks with efficiency and ease.
The video controller is integrated into the Intel 815E chipset, featuring a share memory architecture and a maximum resolution of up to 1600x1280, 8-bit colours. Four optional USB 2.0 ports are available, providing users with faster access to peripheral devices.
The ROCKY-3786EVGU2 supports Socket-370 Pentium III/Celeron processors with a 133MHz FSB, while the two 168-pin SDRAM slots supporting up to 512MB of memory.
The AC'97 audio and onboard CompactFlash type II socket are additional features of the ROCKY-3786EVGU2.
The ROCKY-3786EVGU2 can operate under high temperatures (up to 60°C) and still remain stable.
