ICP Electronics Australia’s PCIE-9450, PICMG 1.3 Dual Core Pentium D Single Board Computer was recently shown at CeBit Australia 2006.
The PICMG 1.3 technology solves the bandwidth problem by replacing the system host board (SHB) to backplane parallel bus interfaces with high-speed serial links.
The PCIE-9450 uses an Intel Dual Core Pentium D CPU that delivers an extra powerful gear when users need it and supports up to 1066MHz Front Side Bus.
In addition, the Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology provides more efficient power consumption.
This new design includes wider internal data buses that support dual-channel DDR2 memory technology at 667MHz (up to 10.7GB/s of peak memory bandwidth) for greater platform performance and memory flexibility.
The PCIE-9450 features 4x DDRII 240-pin DIMM sockets supporting up to 4GB.
The Intel 945G Express Chipset elevates storage performance with next generation Serial ATA (SATA) and enhancements to Intel Matrix Storage Technology. This chipset has four integrated SATA II ports for transfer rates up to 3Gb/s (300 MB/s) to SATAII hard drives or optical devices. Support for RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 allows for different RAID capabilities that address specific needs and usages.
The PCIE-9450 has 2x RS-232, 1x LPT, 1x IrDA, 7x USB 2.0 (6 by pin header), 4x SATAII-300, 1x ATA-100, 1x FDD and 1x PS2 keyboard/mouse connectors.
