ICP Electronics Australia recently exhibited the DM Series of IP65 Industrial Monitors, at CeBit Australia 2006.
These monitors feature a heavy-duty aluminium front panel and are available in 12.1", 15" and 17" sized TFT LCD displays.
The monitors support Digital Visual Interface (DVI) providing the user with high quality video performance.
DVI is a form of video interface technology made to maximise the quality of flat panel LCD monitors and high-end video graphics cards. It is a replacement for the P&D, Plug & Display standard, and a step up from the digital-only DFP format of older flat panels.
The DM Series has a high brightness TFT LCD colour panel, featuring in excess of 300 nits, making it suitable for industrial applications in high ambient light.
The front panels are resistant to dust and liquid and meet the IP65 protection rating. In addition, the DM Series is available with optional resistive touch screens.
The On Screen Display (OSD) control keys are located on the front panel for easy access and are used to adjust the display to gain the best picture quality.
The greatest benefit of the OSD is that the user can reduce the brightness of the LCD when not required and extend the panel's life.
The DM Series is flexible in design - they can be VESA arm, wall, rack or panel mounted - making them suitable to a range of industrial and commercial applications.
