The IVC-T608/4 standard definition software compression capture cards have been released by ICP Electronics Australia .
With capabilities of video and audio output for real time monitoring in up to 2 locations, the IVC-T608 and IVC-T604 video capture cards stop the unnecessary need for operating system controls when capturing video and audio. A local channel switch that can be assigned by the system administrator or via a GPIO module.
In comparison with other capture cards, both models support PCI interfaces and offer better power consumption. The cards are compatible with Windows XP, Windows 7 and Linux operating systems and feature 4 or 8 channels to capture video and audio.
The software compression card is used to transfer analog NTSC/PAL signals to digital raw data signals. The uncompressed raw data provides higher video quality and no distortion. The software compression process transfers data to the PC via a PCI or PCIe interface, then the CPU compresses the video and stores it on the hard drive.
The IVC-T608/4 is also a perfect video capture card for real-time video surveillance applications.
