ICP Electronics Australia has announced the release of ORing’s new addition to the Greyhound Series: IGS-3032GC, an industrial 5-port managed Gigabit Ethernet switch that features 3x 10/100/1000 Base-T(X) and 2x Gigabit combo SFP ports.
Industrial environments require real time applications which, coupled with the increasing number of industrial devices now communicating over Ethernet, could cause an overload in Ethernet traffic.
IGS-3032GC Ethernet switches address this issue by enabling users to connect 5x Gigabit connections to provide extreme high speed communication.
- IGS-3032GC Ethernet switch supports O-Ring Ethernet redundant ring technology, which enables less than 150ms recovery time over 250 units of connection. This feature can protect mission-critical applications from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions due to its fast recovery time.
- The device is backward compatible with any 10Mbps and 100Mbps network devices, allowing it to be integrated within existing Ethernet networks.
- IGS-3032GC Ethernet switches are equipped with rigid IP-30 housing suitable for operation in harsh environments. The wide operating temperature range (-40 to 70°C) enables the device to operate smoothly, with total Gigabit flexibility for industrial applications and real-time applications that require fast, uninterrupted transmission of data, such traffic systems, surveillance systems and other bandwidth-hungry applications such as high-definition video or image relaying.
- The entire series supports Open-Ring technology: an enhanced redundancy technology that makes ORing’s Ethernet switches compatible with similar products from other brands.
