ICP Electronics Australia have announced the release of the WAFER-ATOM 3.5" SBC with Intel Atom processor. The WAFER-ATOM is a 3.5” single board computer that incorporates the low power 1.6Ghz and N270 Atom processor. In conjunction with the 945GSE system chip set, this board provides a balance between high performance and low power consumption (15Watts with 1GB DDR2).
With 6x USB, 6x com ports, 2x SATA ports, Mini PCIe, DDR2 SO-DIMM 400-533Mhz (2Gb system max) and dual display capabilities, this small form factor, low powered board is suitable for a wide range of applications.
The WAFER-ATOM 3.5" SBC with Intel Atom processor also incorporates a heatsink shell that allows even heat dissipation, with the option of mounting the board away from the heat. The heatsink shell also allows the WAFER-ATOM 3.5" SBC with Intel Atom processor to maintain low 25mm profile height ideal for applications where limited space is an issue, such as in-vehicle computers or kiosk applications.
The onboard CF II slot allows the WAFER-ATOM 3.5" SBC with Intel Atom processor to use a solid state storage device, which in turn further reduces heat and power consumption. With no moving parts, the WAFER-ATOM 3.5" SBC with Intel Atom processor with a solid state disk offers a reliable and compact solution.
