ICP Electronics Australia have released the ICE-GM45A. The ICE-GM45A is a COM express type 2 module that connects directly onto the ICE-DB-9S carrier board. The COM express is a computer on module (COM) form factor. It is a highly integrated board that can be used in various customised applications. The ICE-GM45A integrates CPU and memory functionality, the common I/O of a PC, USB, audio, graphics and Ethernet.
The ICE-GM45A uses the latest CPU technology with the power of Intel’s 45nm mobile Intel Core 2 Duo socket P with a high 1066/800 front side bus. It supports up to 4GB of SO-DIMM DDR2 800. Integrated with the baseboard, the ICE-GM45A has the capability of 8x USB 2.0, HD Audio, 4x SATA II and HDTV. This solution is highly beneficial for any application that requires the need for expansion.
