ICP Electronics Australia has announced the release of the IGS-3044GP, a managed Redundant Ring Ethernet switch with 4x10/100/1000TX and 4x1000BaseX SFP ports.
IGS- 3044GP Redundant Ring Ethernet switch can protect mission-critical applications from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions with its ultra fast recovery technology. This clever ethernet switch also supports the functions of network management, such as SNMP, RMON and Port/Tag-based VLAN security.
The IGS-3044GP Redundant Ring Ethernet switch can be easily configured via a web browser or using a windows utility. Network administrators can send event notifications through Syslog, Email, SNMP trap, or relay output, as well as segment ports into different VLANs. Users can also filter multicast traffic by IGMP Snooping.
To enhance the security, port access can be limited to user-defined IP addresses. Network access is determined by QoS for traffic prioritisation.
Among its many features, the IGS-3044GP Redundant Ring Ethernet switch supports the new DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring) function, which can instantly monitor the voltage, current and temperature status. The redundant DC power input guarantees non-stop operation. The backup power input will take over immediately if the primary DC power input fails, plus it provides relay outputs that can be set up to indicate urgent events to notify or warn the technicians, enabling them to respond to any issues immediately.
