ICP Electronics Australia has announced the release of ORing’s RGS-7244GP full Gigabit managed switch for harsh industrial environments and applications with long transmission distance requirements such as a thermal power plant.
The RGS-7244GP is an industrial 28-port rack mount managed Gigabit switch with 24x 10/100/1000Base-T(X) and 4x 1000Base-X SFP ports.
The fast redundant O-ring recovery time (<20ms over 250 units), MSTP/RSTP/STP (IEEE 802.1s/w/D) Ethernet redundancy and multiple warning notifications sent to the operator ensure that mission-critical applications are protected from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions, while the extended operating temperature (-10°C~60°C) and the anti-vibration feature protects against harsh outdoor or industrial environments.
Measuring 443.7(W) x 200(D) x 44(H) mm, the RGS-7244GP full Gigabit managed switch is designed to be 19” rack mountable and features redundant input power 100~240VAC with a typical power consumption of 30W.
The switch also features support for jumbo frame up to 9KB, IGMP snooping support for filtering multicast traffic and user authentication for security.
The RGS-7244GP full Gigabit managed switch is a reliable choice for any highly-managed and Gigabit Fiber Ethernet application, especially within harsh environments.
