IEI (ICP Electronics Inc), distributed in Australia by ICP Electronics Australia introduces IGPS-7084GP industrial managed gigabit PoE Ethernet switch from ORing designed for mission-critical applications.
The IGPS-7084GP is a fully managed gigabit redundant ring PoE Ethernet switch featuring 8x10/100/1000Base-T(X) ports, PoE (P.S.E.) function and 4x1000Base-X SFP ports.
Thanks to its fast recovery technology and complete support of Ethernet Redundancy protocol, the ORing with a recovery time of less than 20ms over 250 units of connection and MSTP/RSTP/STP (IEEE 802.1s/w/D) can protect mission-critical applications from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions.
Part of ORing’s thunder switch series, the IGPS-7084GP provides advanced IP-based bandwidth management that can limit the maximum bandwidth for each IP device. The IP camera and NVR can be configured to allow more bandwidth while limiting the bandwidth of other devices.
This series also supports application-based QoS, which can be used to prioritise data streaming according to TCP/UDP port number.
Advanced security features are available in the IGPS-7084GP PoE Ethernet switch.
Hackers can be prevented from accessing the IP surveillance network without permission by using ORing’s special IP Police function that can restrict network access to only those IP addresses with the MAC address.
Advanced DOS/DDOS auto prevention is also enabled in the PoE Ethernet switch. If a surge is detected in a particular IP flow, the thunder switch will block the source IP address for a specified duration of time to prevent privacy or security breach.
The hardware-based prevention function can block the DOS/DDOS attack immediately and completely, preventing any damage, loss or theft of data.
IGPS-7084GP also supports Power over Ethernet, transmitting up to 30 watts of power and data to remote devices over standard twisted-pair cable within an Ethernet network.
