Designed to make industrial serial devices Internet-ready instantly, the IDS-5000 series of upgraded industrial device servers offers several powerful features for hardware and software redundant communication applications.
The IDS-5000 series of device servers is ideal for connecting RS-232/422/485 serial devices such as PLCs, sensors, card readers, meters, motors and drives in industrial environments. They are cost-effective, rugged and user-friendly, making simple, reliable serial-to-Ethernet solutions possible.
Additionally, the Windows utility, DS-Tool supplied with the device servers is capable of configuring multiple devices and mapping via Virtual Com.
The IDS-5000 series of industrial device servers features the NAT Router Pass Through, DDNS, and PPPoE, making it more convenient for administrators to configure ORing’s device servers through the NAT router from different IP addresses or remotely via the Internet.
The IDS-5000 series can simultaneously transfer data to up to 5 redundant host PCs to avoid Ethernet connection breakdown or any host PC disruptions. Other features include HTTPS, SSH and SSL encryption to assure security of critical data transmission.
