ICP Electronics has announced the release of its latest single board computers powered by VIA C3 EBGA CPUs, the ROCKY-C800EV and the PCISA-C800EV.
The onboard VIA C3 800MHz CPUs, featuring low power consumption and high performance, have been integrated into ICP's new ROCKY-C800EV and PCISA-C800EV boards.
The full-size PICMG ROCKY-C800EV board supports up to 1GB SDRAM in two 168-pin DIMM sockets, while the half-size PCISA-C800EV board supports up to 512MB in one DIMM socket.
Both boards feature an onboard all-in-one 64-bit single cycle 2D/3D graphics engine (VIA8601A). An AGP 4X bus bandwidth of up to 533MB/sec and a resolution of up to 1600 x 1200 provide the board with excellent graphics capabilities.
A flexible onboard Ethernet solution allows users to select between a 10/100Mbps Intel 82559 and a Realtek RTL8100 controller.
ROCKY-C800EV and PCISA-C800EV is equipped with the latest version DOC (Disk On Chip) socket making the board incredibly cost-effective and compact. In addition, both boards feature a CompactFlash type II socket ensuring expansion capabilities.
These boards have been designed to be suitable for a range of embedded applications, such as factory automation and industrial control systems.
The ROCKY-C800EV and PCISA-C800EV, with their integrated 10/100Mbps fast Ethernet controller and AGP 4X bus bandwidth, can also be used as dedicated Voice-over IP (VoIP) hardware.
