WAUCHOPE company Battery Management Systems is now supplying the NSW Fire Brigades with its innovative battery charging systems after a brokered introduction by NSW Industrial Supplies Office (NSW ISO ) consultant Neil Wakely.
After reviewing the Fire Brigades’ performance specifications, Battery Management Systems (BMSA) designed a charging unit specifically to meet the organisation's requirements.
The unit incorporates a battery diagnostic system with pulse charging abilities providing increased reliability with extended battery life.
To date, BMSA has supplied 60 units to the NSW Fire Brigades and hopes to win orders with other Australian fire fighting organisations.
The company also provides systems to Australian Customs and Police Services as well as other essential services.
Although BMSA did not already have a product for the Fire Service, the company's capability in designing and manufacturing charging systems was recognised by NSW ISO, and it was nominated to the service as a potential supplier.
NSW ISO has previously assisted BMSA to find competitive Australian manufacturers of components.
