IBS Australia, GS1 Impetus Expo 2008 Gold Sponsor, Launches 5-Step Guide to Inventory Optimisation

IBS Australia will be a Gold sponsor of the GS1 Impetus Expo 2008, to be held from 23rd to 24th October 2008 at the Sofitel Hotel in Melbourne. In line with the theme of the event – “Insight, Innovations, Implementation” – IBS has launched a series of “How-To” guides to optimise inventory and maximise profits, titled “The Essential 5-Step Guide To Inventory Optimisation”.

By sponsoring Impetus 2008, IBS confirms its commitment as a GS1 Australia Strategic Alliance Partner and to supporting global standards and best practices in supply chain implementation.

Narelle Behn-Carey, Vice-President Marketing for IBS Australia, explains why IBS has chosen to sponsor the Impetus Expo 2008:

“IBS is the only major international ERP software provider to have fully dedicated solutions for industries such as the electrical products, pharmaceutical, publishing and automotive, among other industries in wholesale and distribution. We want to make sure we continue to develop our products in line with the actual trends, challenges and requirements of global supply chain standards and best practices. By sponsoring the GS1 Impetus Expo, we will be involved first hand with the concerns and requirements of the industry and build this information into our on-going research and development programs.”

“The Essential 5-Step Guide To Inventory Optimisation” is a “How-To” guide based on IBS’ Inventory Optimisation Methodology, to help inventory/supply chain managers get the right product, at  the right time, in the right place. The series includes:

Step 1: The case for inventory optimisation – How to balance inventory levels and lower costs
Step 2: How to analyse your inventory performance
Step 3: How to classify your products and define your strategy
Step 4: How to calculate your product forecast
Step 5: How to optimise your product replenishment

The series is a lead-up to IBS Australia’s presentation by Peter Clarke, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for IBS Asia Pacific, at the Impetus Expo Supply Chain Tech Theatrette. The topic of Peter’s presentation is “The Secret to Maximising Your ROI and Profits By Optimising Inventory”.
