Hyundai Construction Equipment announces the introduction of a new wheel loader in the 15-ton class.
The new Hyundai HL757-9A wheel loader is designed for demanding and diverse loading applications in civil engineering as well as in general industry with a range of attachments. Featuring a 15,000kg operating weight and standard shovel volume of 2.7m³, the new machine will be offered in three versions:
HL757-9A standard wheel loader with 2.840mm dumping height and a reach of 1.610mm max; HL757XTD-9A High Reach version with 3.230mm dumping height and reach of 1.970mm max (additional counterweight 840kg); and HL757TM-9A (ToolMaster) with parallel mast, tipping height 2.840mm and reach of 1.815mm max. This mast may be combined with various hydraulic quick-couplers.
The Korean-made Hyundai HL757-9A wheel loaders are powered by a Tier 4 Interim/EU Stage IIIB Cummins QSB6.7 six-cylinder engine delivering 149 kW. The maximum torque of 932 Nm is already at 1,400 min-1 available, which minimises fuel consumption. Five-speed powershift transmission with torque converter lockup starting at second gear minimises fuel consumption. Three engine settings (power, standard and economy), four gear shifting programs and three torque converter modes enable the HL757-9A to adapt perfectly to the respective application profile.
Operator comfort is one of the major advantages of the new range of wheel loaders, given that loaders in the 15 ton-class are used for extended hours day and night. Operator-friendly features include an enlarged area of tinted safety glass in the cabin, 17% more compared to the previous generation; height and tilt adjustable steering column to accommodate different driver sizes; a 15 x 15cm colour LCD mounted at a convenient height in the right field of vision of the cab, functioning as the central interface to communicate machine data, speed, temperatures of oil and coolant and also levels of key operating supplies; and standard equipment including automatic climate control with eleven outlet nozzles that ensure that the large windows are defrosted as quickly as possible.
Feature highlights of the Hyundai HL757-9A wheel loader include water and oil cooler at the rear of the vehicle; a hydraulically driven reversible fan to ensure the radiator fans are cleaned automatically by pressing a button or by the driver; speed range designed to accommodate large travelling distances – going up to 7km/h in first gear and up to 40km in the fifth; and maintenance-free wet disc brakes on all four wheels.
Several options are available to adapt the HL757-9A to virtually any handling and loading task such as work in ports, steel mills and recycling operations. Extras include joystick control lever with additional hydraulic functions, heated exterior mirrors, automatically capitalised reversing camera, various air suspension seats, road-travelling certification, joystick steering, limited slip differentials on front and rear axle, five-speed transmission with torque converter lock-up and an extremely wide range of industrial, rock and speciality tires.
