Hylec Controls announces the release of the Mk3 measuring station designed to measure the dimensions of concrete samples.
Hylec’s new concrete measuring stations are designed to measure concrete samples measuring 100mm x 200mm long in accordance with the AS/NZ Standards AS1012-8.
Comprising of a laser transmitter and CCD receiver, the edge measuring system is totally digital and measurement is not impacted by temperature, surface texture, colour of sample or dirt on lenses. The edge measurement minimises errors due to craters in the sample surface.
The weigh feature not only eliminates need for a platform scale, but also allows all three dimensions and weight to be transmitted via one data stream. The standard concrete measuring station is designed for 100mm cylinders with an option to also measure 150mm cylinders. Dimensions are indicated and transmitted to a PC or LIMS in mm.
The fully self-contained measuring system may also be used for manual measurement in the absence of a computer connection. A manual calibration facility is provided to compensate for any wear of mechanical supports. A test reference cylinder is installed in the machine and a button is pressed for calibration. All calibration is thus done directly on the measuring station independent of the PC or LIMS.
