Three international leaders in technologies and services vital to the oil, gas, mining, energy and marine and industrial service sectors have jointly opened a new state-of-the art Australian headquarters in Perth.

Spread over an area of 12,000 square metres, the service, warehouse, engineering, training and office facility located at 3 Orion Rd Jandakot WA 6164 is the new home of global bolted joint specialist Hydratight , leading provider of high performance ropes, cables, umbilicals and assemblies Cortland, and offshore support specialist Viking Sea Tech.

The official opening and customer day was attended by more than 100 representatives of local, national and international companies.

Hydratight Commercial Leader for Australia and New Zealand, Mr Doug Sangster said the new integrated facility was four times the size of Hydratight’s previous Kewdale facility, providing greater space to support enhanced in-house service for customers, new product launches and delivery of in-situ services throughout Australia. The new facility has been designed and built to consolidate and streamline access to the Actuant Corporation Energy Segment global offering and to encourage client interface.

According to Mr Sangster, the launch celebration provided an excellent opportunity to demonstrate to industry leaders a host of new technologies and expanded services that will be offered from the new facility. He added that the expanded engineering, training, warehousing and service facilities will be especially important as they step up their in-house and in-situ service offerings to companies that increasingly are seeking out globally proven specialist services.

Hydratight provides innovative engineering solutions and on-site services in 21 countries worldwide. Designed to maintain the integrity of production and process plant and pipework, with a strong emphasis on safety and environmental protection, Hydratight’s services include in-situ machining such as pipe cutting, bevelling, milling, boring, grinding and end prepping, in addition to pre/post-weld heat treating, valve testing and leak sealing.

Hydratight has a large team of about 50 people at the new Jandakot facility to cater to the expanded demand for their services as well as those of their sister companies. Being a service driven company, Hydratight is constantly endeavouring to raise the bar on their service quality levels to complement their extensive product range.
