Husky Injection Molding Systems kicked off its Husky World Tour for 2014 by holding a Speciality Closures Conference at its Technical Center in Cuajimalpa, Mexico.
Nearly forty attendees, made up of current and prospective customers, took part in presentations and discussions at the one-day event, which also offered networking opportunities for participants.
Presentations from industry experts, including Greg Lathrop from Unilever, Anthi Balafoutis from MMC Packaging, and Javier Ortiz from IHS Chemical, discussed current trends in the design and manufacture of speciality closures. Highlights from the event included technical presentations from Husky subject matter experts, covering topics such as speciality closure mould technologies for complex applications and using process and productivity monitoring to improve plant efficiencies.
Husky’s Jaime Hernandez, General Manager, Latin America explained that the Husky World Tour event in Mexico was a great way for the company to connect with their local customers. Apart from the great presentations, fantastic networking opportunities, and interesting in-depth discussions, the event also focussed on specific topics of interest that allowed participants to have a deeper understanding of the current issues faced by speciality closure manufacturers and gain a better understanding of where Husky could position its solutions.
Husky also showcased its comprehensive range of products and services to help speciality closure customers improve product quality, reduce variability and increase efficiency. These included SHOTSCOPE NX, Husky’s integrated process and production monitoring system, as well as Husky’s KTW moulds, featuring EASYcube technology, which provides industry-leading uptime and reliability.
