Honeywell Safety Products
has released the Quietpro QP100Ex, a hearing protection and communication system which also provides verifiable personal noise exposure measurement.
Suitable for use in a full range of work environments, the system is connected to two-way com radios, which allow users to hear without compromising listening quality.
It also enables users to speak at a normal level and be heard by the person on the other radio without picking up environmental noises.
The hearing protection system features an in-ear dosimetry which measures sounds that reach the user’s eardrum. It provides continuous monitoring of personal noise exposure, enabling safety managers to address the potential of noise-induced hearing loss in real time.
Audible and visual signals alert workers when they are approaching or have met their daily noise dose. Such information can help prevent further hearing loss and help managers to schedule shift hours that match permissible exposures.
