Four-stroke power equipment manufacturer Honda recently hosted more than 250 of its top performing dealers and family members on a seven day trip to Thailand, taking in the capital Bangkok, and the beach resort of Pattaya.
The itinerary included a factory tour of Honda's Thai facilities where a selection of Honda's GX engines, WB series pumps, and the UMK435 brushcutter are manufactured.
Also in Bangkok, dealers were greeted with a welcome dinner and participated in a tour of the Grand Palace and Temple. On the third day, dealers travelled to Pattaya where they were entertained by traditional Thai dancers and performing elephants before touring the exotic gardens in Nong Nuch Village.
The seven day visit ended with a spectacular Farewell Gala Dinner.
Honda power equipment manager Bob Donaldson said the trip to Thailand was an excellent opportunity for the dealers to take a break and reflect on a very successful year.
"Honda Power Equipment performed very well in Australia during the last Japanese financial year, and enjoyed a great response from several EU range generator cashback marketing offers, and a price rollback on Australian-manufactured Buffalo lawnmowers," Mr Donaldson said.
"Much credit for our strong results must also be given to our dealer network who provide the high level of service and support that keep our customers coming back."
According to Mr Donaldson, as well as the recreational aspects the trip provided dealers, it was an ideal forum for building stronger relationships.
"Rarely do Honda staff have the opportunity to spend extended time with our dealers away from the pressures of the office or shop," Mr Donaldson said.
"The occasion encouraged the free flow of information and ideas in an informal environment.
"I'm sure our dealer team have returned home reinvigorated and ready to tackle another year."
