The mini UHT systems available from Hipex provide food technology companies with a means to test small batches of food formulations in a laboratory environment. The unit is a miniature pasteuriser, which functions as a self contained unit allowing new product formulations to be tested and data to be measured.
Hipex’s mini UHT has been designed to operate at low costs and requiring low investments. The unit is equipped with a boiler, heating and cooling systems, pump, tanks and automatic control system. The MHT unit is fitted on a mobile stand and can be operated by using just a power supply and a water hose connection.
The high-pressure piston pump, which is a part of the UHT, is operable at variable speeds and up to 200 bar pressure. The tank has a capacity to hold five litres while a minimum quantity of one litre of liquid can be processed at any given time.
A multitude of variables such as raw materials, processing temperatures and formulations can be tested at high speeds using the mini UHT without interfering with the production process. The mini UHT is capable of processing several types of non-particulate fluids of varying viscosities in the food processing industry. Some of the typical fluids that can be processed are juices, purees, milk, puddings and highly viscous custards.
