Based in Australia, Hipex is engaged in the designing, manufacturing and installation of heat exchangers for the food processing sector. Hipex possesses experience in several areas of the food processing sector and has focus on improving existing processes and innovating new ones.
Hipex undertakes the entire gamut of manufacturing activity at its Thomastown premises in Australia, right from design to testing. As a result, the customer is shielded from delays in spare part arrivals from offshore destinations during an equipment failure. Hipex employs several production techniques while manufacturing equipment for the food processing sector and is capable of shaping tubes in multiple forms so as to enhance their heat transfer capacity.
Hipex’s tube forming equipment is Australian made, with capacity to handle manufacturing of tubes of maximum diameter of 250 mm and maximum length of 6 m. Another machine being used by Hipex can handle tube forming for maximum of 40 mm diameter regardless of length.
Hipex has now established a new centre for manufacturing larger and skid mounting larger tube forming units. In this new centre, tubes can be tested, loaded onto transport and shipped to customer plants to undertake subsequent installation.
For tube forming for heat exchange functions, Hipex uses programmed NC lathes, which ensure consistency in production quality regardless of batch size. It has also been possible for Hipex to achieve uniform drilling in stainless steel tunes and high accuracy even with complicated tube designs using the lathe.
