Elevator-Cam, available from Hidden Camera Surveillance , is a standalone surveillance camera with inbuilt digital image recording function and extraordinary long battery life for medium term elevator surveillance applications.
Elevator-Cam is a bundled product consisting of our Standalone surveillance camera with on-board motion sensor, internal extra-high capacity battery, remote control, 2GB memory card, card reader, battery charger and PC configuration software. A B&W version is also available with inbuilt night vision to monitor low light or night time activities.
The camera captures high resolution colour or black and white images when motion is detected and stores them onto a removable memory card for easy viewing on a computer or PDA. The camera can also be externally triggered from a push button panel or elevator door opening.
Using its internal compact battery, Elevator-Cam can operate for up to 37 weeks (9 months) in standby mode and if for example, it takes 3000 photos per day, every day of the week, the battery will still power the camera for around 5 weeks! The camera can store up to 65,000 images and will optionally overwrite the oldest images when the memory card is full, for ‘set and forget’ operation. In this scenario, the memory card will hold around 10 days of history at any given time!
Elevator-Cam is primarily a battery operated device however for high traffic areas, the camera can also be mains powered by an external 9VDC power source.
