Graffiti can be a major problem for industrial sites that are frequently left unattended (on weekends and extended holiday periods, for example). While this next innovation has been specifically designed to address this problem, it is also suitable for use where other concerns are present, such as:
- bush dumping
- unauthorized access
- vandalism; and|
- machinery left unattended.
Common barriers to establishing a reliable surveillance system that counters these concerns include the prohibitive cost of sophisticated camera systems, as well as the availability of power and requirement for laying cables.
The Graffiti Cam is a cost effective solution for these kinds of monitoring requirements. This outdoor weatherproof motion activated covert camera is camouflaged, making it much easier to conceal, and also has built-in NO GLOW IR for night vision and HD recording.
100% AA battery operated, it features a camouflaged colour casing that can be discreetly strapped to a tree or post, and is available with or without a GPRS modem. As with previous HCSS cameras, this GPRS modem enables the Graffiti Cam to remotely send pictures to an email address or mobile phones, further reducing the overall cost of the system by eliminating ongoing monitoring fees.
As it is totally battery operated (12 x AA), the Graffiti Cam can be left out in the field for up to five months at a time, and it can also be supplied with a mini solar panel for even longer field work. If equipped with the solar panel, it can be left for up to 12 months without requiring maintenance. A special lockable and vandal proof metal housing is also available to provide additional security.
At the heart of the Graffiti Cam system is a 2-12 megapixel colour camera that can be configured for motion activated or time lapse recording. At night, it will switch to B/W mode, with the option to select visible or invisible IR. This invisible IR option is unique because it ensures that there is no IR glow from the system, ensuring that it cannot be seen, even if an intruder is looking directly at the camera.
The Graffiti Cam can also record H.264 high resolution video with audio for added definition as well as megapixel images.
