Heggies is contracted (ongoing) by Willoughby City Council to source, install, operate and maintain an Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Station to assess the impact of Sydney’s Lane Cove Road Tunnel (pre- and post-commissioning) on local air quality.

Instrumentation has been installed to monitor, on a continuous basis, Carbon Monoxide (CO), Oxides of Nitrogen (NOX), PM10 and PM2.5, as well as meteorological parameters including wind speed, direction, temperature, relative humidity, and rainfall.

Monitoring for PM10 and PM2.5 are conducted using series 1400a TEOMs.

Real-time data is extracted via GPRS modems and reported directly to a web based interface.

Monthly validated data are provided in monthly summary reports.
