METALS treatment company Heat Treatment Australia has taken a further step towards becoming the country's largest supplier of metals processing services, by opening operations in Melbourne.
From a small one-man Brisbane based company in the seventies, Heat Treatment Australia now has operations in the three major capitals of Australia, and offers several market leading processes.
Among them is the patented Bristuff Nitriding process which it has installed in its new Campbellfield operations, together with heat treatment processes to increase the tensile strength and hardness of various forms of aluminium.
Karen Stanton, the company's General Manager, said 24-hour turnaround of jobs would be available for Melbourne customers within the general engineering, toolmaking, rollforming, and aluminium extrusion industries.
Bristuff Nitriding, which the company developed over a decade of research and development, adds a wear-resistant coating and increases the tensile strength of many of today's highly engineered parts, extending their life by as much as six times.
The process is used extensively in engineering, manufacturing and industrial applications. Heat Treatment Australia 07 3345 4944.
