ONEHALF20’s MeltMonitor is totally self-contained device for extruder melt pressure and melt temperature measurement, which features a dual 5-digit LED display of process variables in a compact and ready to install package with an overall accuracy of better than 0.5%. Made in an all stainless steel welded construction and incorporating a protective safety viewing glass, the MeltMonitor has standard features that include peak display function and digital one touch auto-zero.
The MeltMonitor has been designed for rigorous manufacturing environments such as in the plastics processing industry.
Also available is an FDA approved oil filled version, suitable for food, medical, or dental processing applications.
Other standard features include two fully programmable alarm relays suitable for pressure and/or temperature alarming. The alarms can be programmed for both manual or automatic reset and early warning alert indication.
Outputs include user selectable 4-20mA, 0-10Vdc, or 1-5Vdc scaleable process pressure re-transmission. RS-485 MODBus communications is also available.
The MeltMonitor runs on a universal 110-220Vac power supply card. Alternatively, a 24Vdc power supply version in place of ac power is available.
A unique feature found on the MeltMonitor is the inclusion of an option called ‘TempSense’. This is a revolutionary proprietary algorithm that provides full process temperature compensation over the operating range of 20°C-325ºC. This feature eliminates all zero shift associated with fluctuating process temperature changes.
The MeltMonitor's transducer is field replaceable. If in its operational life, the transducer gets damaged, it can be bought separately and replaced by a technician on site.
