Allcon Steel Construction recently purchased an Ocean Avenger beam line machine from Headland Machinery for their structural steel components manufacturing plant.
Allcon Steel Construction, based in Wangara, Western Australia didn’t even know they needed an Ocean Avenger beam line machine until they saw what a difference it could make to their business.
The steel fabrication business turns over 160T per month. Previously, the work was done using various manual processes with the only CNC machine in the factory being a magnetic drill.
According to David Bruce, Manager of Allcon Steel Construction, when they calculated the time the process took and what it was costing the business, they realised that the purchase of the new machine would not only increase their rate of volume and accuracy of production, but also save a lot of money.
The Ocean Avenger beam line machine allows them to drill holes now in less than 10 seconds whereas it used to take more than ten times longer, depending upon the thickness of the steel. The beam drill line machine offers user-friendly operation.
Allcon Steel Construction produces structural steel components for local and commercial shopping centres, factories and the mining industry.
