The general purpose range, available in IP20 and IP55 enclosures, is perfect for space limited price sensitive installations - with applications ranging from fan and pumps to conveying.
SEW standard inverters feature a unique modular design and optimized enclosure dimensions. Available in an IP20 enclosure, inclusive of features like flying start and hoist function, these inverters are easily expandable with options such as fieldbus communications and safety stop Cat 3. Standard inverters are perfectly suited to applications including conveying and hoisting.
The range of application inverters incorporates a multi-mode controller card that supports a broad spectrum of industrial applications. These range from the very basic control of an asynchronous motor through to the precise dynamic control of AC permanent magnet servo motors. Integrated features include safety stop Cat 3, memory card, energy save mode and integrated IPOSplus positioning and sequence control. Optional communications cards provide connectivity to the most common industrial fieldbus and ethernet standards. The range of application fields include positioning, winding, synchronous operation, electronic camming, and more.

Inverter-optimized synchronous servomotors make for powerful and very precise drive solutions due to their high-resolution sine/cosine encoders. The servomotors can be directly combined with gear units from the SEW-EURODRIVE modular concept. For installation requiring high dynamics and limited space, the combination of servomotors and high-quality, low backlash planetary and right angle servo gear units are the ideal combination.
Integrated servomotor connectors and prefabricated cables make system connections to Servo controllers seamless.
The flexible and powerful Servo Controllers with integrated IPOSplus® positioning and sequence control can be set quickly and easily using an optional keypad or PC Operating Software. Integrated application modules (pre-configured control programs) or user defined programs expand functionality including electronic camming and internal synchronous operation.
