HAWKER Richardson has signed an agreement to distribute EPM-IBL's wave, selective and vapour-phase soldering machines.
The agreement was signed at the recent Productronia trade fare in Munich, Germany. Rob Gawn, general manager of Hawker Richardson said that one of the main factors in Hawker Richardson's decision to enter into this agreement with EPM-IBL was the products' demonstrated ability to operate in the lead-free soldering environment.
The new range of soldering ovens are fully automatic, computer controlled and specifically designed and developed for printed circuit board (PCB) production. They are available as batch or in-line type machines.
Many of the ovens currently on the market are not suitable for lead-free technology, due to the inferior wetting ability of lead-free alloys compared with SnPb solder pastes. A saturated vapour atmosphere is of critical importance in lead-free soldering.
The EPM-IBL range offers a complete series of solder machines for virtually any use and production throughput. Equipment can be selected in accordance with production demands whether the criteria are board size, throughput, in-line handling or batch type machines.
