Hawker Richardson introduces Apex u-Guard™ to eliminate In-System Damage

A new family of tools called Apex u-Guard™ has been introduced by Hawker Richardson to eliminate In-System Damage.

The material selection and proprietary heat treat processes produce a tool that can withstand extreme torques throughout its durable life. The steel is isolated from external contact by a molded skin that is able to spin independently of the contained tool. The skin is a proprietary elastomer blend that is soft enough to cushion blows from swinging tools, yet tough enough to resist punctures and endure shift after shift of operation with minimal wear. The elastomer skin also does not have the same limitations of a nylon-based cover material, which is not suitable for use in bodyworks (pre-paint) applications.

The tamper-resistant design of Apex u-Guard is a guard against the potential hazards resulting from rotational friction. Through isolation, u-Guard ensures the integrity of the fastening operation without the damages and injuries that often occur.
