Available from Hawk Measurement Systems , Sultan anti collision and positioning transmitters can be mounted on moving machinery to avoid accidents.
These anti collision master transmitters emit a high powered acoustic wave transmit pulse that is detected by a slave transducer that is mounted in a fixed position. This slave transducer immediately emits a pulse back to the Master on the moving machinery. The Master positioning transmitter calculates transit times and provides a 4-20mA output proportional to the position of the moving machinery in relation to the Slave’s fixed position.
No wiring is requirement between the master and slave transmitters, allowing for easy retrofit to existing shuttle conveyors, cranes, stackers, and reclaimers. Proper selection of the positioning transmitter’s operating frequency can compensate for dust, background noise, wet atmosphere, and high winds.
Theses positioning devices are suitable for use in numerous applications including, but not limited to, mining, power stations, smelters, container ports and port cranes.
