Metric Stainless Steel motors from Harrington Electric Motors
The new generation of Scorpion IP66 rated IEC Metric Stainless Steel motors have been released on the Australian market.
The new range of Metric Stainless Steel motors can now be supplied from .18kw in 63 frames up to 22.0kw in a 200L frame. Almost all Metric Stainless Steel motors meet the new efficiency requirements of MEPS 2 and meet the American epact efficiency, which guarantees savings with running costs.
The Metric Stainless Steel motors feature a round terminal box, which makes cleaning the motor easier and as the terminal box is welded to the stator housing, there is little chance of water getting into the motor even when cleaning with a high pressure hose.
As well as the 4 quadrant drain plugs at each end to allow any condensation to escape, Metric Stainless Steel motors can now be supplied fitted with anti condensation heaters, which prevent any condensation forming in the motor.
Also as an option for the really difficult application where the Metric Stainless Steel motor has water being poured over it non stop, it can be supplied with a completely encapsulated winding and a magnetic mechanical seal on the front shaft, which allows the motor to be rated IP67 (submersible for 1 minute at 1 metre).
Due to the low temperature rise of the motors, the new generation of Metric stainless motors can now be supplied totally enclosed, no ventilation (TENV ) up to 1.5kw 4 pole and 2.2kw 2 pole, which due to no cooling fan or fan cowl makes cleaning the motor a simple task.
Also available is a stainless motor designed to fit straight on a Sew Eurodrive gearbox without any engineering needed.
