Hargil Dynamics stock and supply a complete range of AC variable speed drives, from chassis mounted drives to those housed in IP65 washdown enclosures.
The popular KB Electronics range of AC variable speed drives are availabel from Hargil Dynamics and covers from .09kw to 3.7kw.
Within this range of AC variable speed drives from KB Electronics is the KBMA series, which features a user-friendly design, requires no programming, and is housed in a Nema-1/IP40 enclosure.
The KBMA series variable speed drive uses trimpots and jumpers, factory set for most applications. The motor horsepower selection jumper allows the drive to be used on a broad range of motor horsepower without recalibration or programming, while the jumper selection of drive output frequency increases the motor speed up to two times the rated RPM.
Setting the KBMA series AC variable speed drive to specific applications is achieved with selectable jumpers and trimpots. This eliminates computer-like programming, however for most applications no adjustments will be required.
Run/fault relay output contacts on the KBMA series variable speed drives can be used to turn equipment on or off, or to signal a warning if a fault has occurred or the drive is put into stop mode.
Barrier terminal blocks within the KBMA series drive facilitate wiring of the AC line, motor, ground (earth), and rRun/fault relay output contacts.
Panel mounted controls and indicators on the KBMA series AC variable speed drive include:
- on/off AC line switch - used to turn the power on or off to the drive
- pilot light - indicates that power is applied to the drive
- main speed potentiometer - provides adjustment of motor speed
- LED's - power on, drive status, and overload.
