HW Technologies to exhibit SMT jet printer at NMW 2008

HW Technologies  will feature the surface mount technology (SMT) jet printer on stand 2000 at National Manufacturing Week at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre from May 27 to 30.

The Mydata MY500 jet printer shoots solder paste or glue on the fly without touching the printed circuit board (PCB).

“This revolutionary jet printer uses no stencils and offers many advantages over older-style screen printers,” HW Technologies director Hugo Waibel said.

“The MY500 provides greater freedom for PCB design and virtually no changeover or lead times. Solder paste deposits can be adjusted on the spot in three dimensions.”

HW Technologies will also exhibit a portable acoustic camera, the GFal that creates images of sounds and their sources. Applications for the system range from noise reduction to sound analysis and quality assurance.

“Maps of sound sources that look similar to thermographic images can be created within minutes, showing clearly the point from which noise emanates,” Waibel said.

HW Technologies specialises in providing acoustic, electronic testing and production products. As well as Mydata SMT pick and place machines and jet printers and GFaI acoustic cameras for visualising noise sources, the company supplies Elabo ergonomic workbenches Colinbus CNC machines, Reprint stencil printers, Flexlink conveyor systems and board handling equipment, Montech conveyor systems and materials handling equipment, Asymtek conformal coating, EFD dispensing products and ESP solder paste.
