IN collaboration with the R&D unit of SACMI IMOLA, BencoPack, represented by HBM Packaging , has launched a machine which combines standard form-fill-seal features but also incorporates a shrink sleeve onto the filled sealed cup, rather than the traditional paper label.
The high quality shrink sleeve offers improved graphics and greater design flexibility of the container thus differentiating the final package from the conventional generic designs available today.
The present range of BencoPack aseptic machines consists of:
* Miniportions up to 20ml, hourly output from 18,000 up to 108,000 cups.
* Single-service portions with capacity ranging from 50ml to 250ml, hourly output from 6,000 up to 36,000 cups.
BencoPack, a division of SACMI IMOLA, began developing its first fully aseptic machines in 1976 in collaboration with the University of Piacenza and local Italian food manufacturers.
The first aseptic machines for production were placed in 1977 at customers such as Nestlé, Ferrero and Centrale del Latte di Milano (Milan central dairy).
In the early 80s, BencoPack obtained the U.S. Food & Drug Administration compliance certification for aseptic machines supplied to General Mills, Borden and GNC.
Today, Benco Pack has installed globally aseptic machines for a diverse range of products such as dairy, fruit juices, isotonic drinks, baby food, etc.
