MONDO & Scaglione, represented in Australia by HBM Packaging Technologies has released a case packing machine which can package wine bottles using the traditional vertical system or horizontally with the automatic introduction of a cardboard divider.
The MI EBC model has an interchangeable head option which allows changeover from vertical to horizontal orientation in 15 minutes and has an output of up to 12,000 bottles an hour (vertical) and 4000 bottles an hour (horizontal).
An inverter-controlled motorised conveyor prepares bottle packs based on a programmed configuration.
It has a centring basket for easy entry of bottles and a motorised case conveyor which automatically positions and unloads the product.
It has adjustable pickup heads for different sized bottles and a PLC Siemens controller which maintains position and speed.
