LANFRANCHI, represented in Australia by HBM Packaging Technologies , has released the Turn Master range of bottle orientators, to operate as free-standing machines or for integration with one of their unscramblers.
The Turn Master can identify shape, an embossed design, a bar code or a colour and then automatically orientate the bottle before it reaches the filling machine. It can do this at speeds from 4000 to 30,000 bottles an hour and can accept bottle sizes from 250ml to 5L.
Dependant on the model, speed and orientation requirement, orientation discs are operated mechanically, pneumatically or by servo motors. Bottle identification is achieved by sonar, infrared photocells or cameras and the whole process is controlled by a Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLC.
Bottles are conveyed by the base with vacuum belts used for unstable containers. The equipment is manufactured in food grade stainless steel.
