BarcoVision has appointed HBM Packaging & Plastics Technologies as its sales partner in Australia and New Zealand for its suite PlantMaster MES products.
The PlantMaster system monitors and synchronises manufacturing activities from either independent operations or multiple site production facilities. The PlantMaster system has been designed to seamlessly integrate with a company’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
The PlantMaster system supports both cabled and wireless networks to connect to a central server. The PlantMaster system includes Bluetooth capability which allows the installation to be as easy as plug and play.
By using a Microsoft Windows operating system and Oracle database, the PlantMaster system offers a collaborative suite of application modules that can provide real time solutions for:
- Machine monitoring
- Alarm management (for example email to a PDA)
- Planning and scheduling
- Quality control (SQC)
- Management of machine settings (SPC capability)
- Traceability (to FDA protocol if required)
- Preventative maintenance planning
- Spare part inventory control
The PlantMaster system provides visibility on all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), enabling companies to achieve operational quality using customised windows if required and allows for rapid responses to changing conditions.
The PlantMaster system is particularly effective in meeting the needs of activities such as those required in the plastics manufacturing environment from single to multiple plant operations.
The PlantMaster system is ideally suited to plastic manufacturers with injection, blowmoulding and extrusion processes.
