Neue Herbold, Reihen, Germany, are involved in the production of size reduction machinery such as granulators (pipe and profile), grinders, pulverisers, screw-shredders, bale-breaker, hammer mills, shredders, polystyrene-shredders and guillotines.
The ZM pulveriser range, available from HBM Packaging & Plastics Technologies , is designed for semi-rigid, brittle and impact resistant materials, where a powdered product is required.
Granulates of 6-8mm are fed through a vibrofeeder, to high speed rotating discs that create a powder product of between 300 and 1000 microns.
The ZM pulveriser is used to pulverise LDPE, HDPE, UPVC, PC and other types of plastic materials and can process up to 1000kg per hour.
Plastic material is fed centrally between a fixed and high speed rotating pulveriser disc, with the centrifugal effect carrying the material through the processing zone before being discharged from the machine pneumatically.
The particle size of the product is determined by the type of material processed, the disc construction and the processing gap between the discs.
The following are the advantages of the Neue Herbold ZM pulverisers:
- Long service life of the discs between re-sharpening intervals
- Fast and easy replacement and adjustment of discs
- Low residence time equating to lower thermal stress on the process material
- Cost effective operation
Neue Herbold is represented by HBM Plastics Technologies in Oceania.
